DECEMBER TUITION
DECEMBER TUITION IS DUE! WE ARE ENFORCING A LATE FEE FOR ANY PAYMENTS MADE AFTER THE 15TH OF THE MONTH!

Parents Meeting 12/3/10
December is a busy month for us this year. As you all know we are moving to a new location and adding new classes. We sill also be ordering costumes for competition, starting all of our competition dances, holding a canned food drive, getting presents for our Angels, and of course having a Christmas party... all before the girls take their holiday break.
First, we would like for all of you to know that Noe is coming the first of January to teach the hip-hop routine. The cost per girl is around $26. Practices will be combined for the workshop, and will be 3 hours a day for the older classes. We are still working out some details and will let you know before the Christmas break.
Second, our schedule is as follows:
Monday: Chrystal's class 3:00-5:00
Ariah's class 5:00-7:00
Tuesday: Technique class 3:00-4:00
Senior class (high school) 4:30-6:00
Wednesday: Chrystal's class 3:30-5:15
Ariah's class 5:15-7:00
Thursday: Lindsey's class 4:00-5:00
Friday: Senior class 3:00-5:00
***Please encourage your daughters to take the technique class. It will benefit them and the team to become better dancers and be prepared for competition. For those that are already on the team, the cost is only $15 per month. Registration for other classes is: December 10th 4-6pm at South Town Gym for those not already enrolled in a class. New classes are: Age 3-4 non-competing, Technique age 9+, High School girls competing.

America On Stage: February 24-26, 2011 @ Thanksgiving Point
Utah Dance Championships: March 18-19, 2011 @ Taylorsville
America On Stage Nationals: May 5-6, 2011 @ Lagoon
*SOLOISTS: Order your costumes soon! We have catalogs for you to look at.
We are going to have a closet in the new gym. Girls are allowed to keep personal items such as dance shoes or clothes in the closet. It will be locked when we aren't there. No food or drinks allowed in the dance room. Only water bottles, please.
This holiday season we want to help out our Grand County Food Bank by having a canned food drive. We will have a Christmas barrel wrapped in the dance room to drop the food into. All you need to do is bring in a couple of canned food, or boxed food items to put in the barrel. Feel free to include your friends and neighbors. Any help is appreciated. Also, each class will have an Angel, someone in our community in need to buy for. We feel that we are all so fortunate to have so much that we would like to help those who don't have much at all. Your participation will be confidential as will the kids we are helping. Once we get our Angels, we will send out letters in each class with the individuals specific information. 'Tis the season to be giving.
Last, but very important, we have decided to have a demerits system. Demerits will be given to individuals who are late to practice, not prepared for class, disrespectful behavior, unexcused absences, talking in class, etc... The older classes will be required to wear their pink dance top on Mondays and green on Wednesdays. Bottoms must be fitted. Dance pants, shorts or capris are fine. The girls need their hair pulled back, dance shoes on and ready to start warming up.
The consequences for demerits are:
1st: A controlled exercise. Holding the position for 3 minutes (ex: planks, wall-sits, etc.)
2nd: Meeting with director/teacher
3rd: Note home to parent
4th: Parent Meeting
5th: Must sit out the next performance
Please encourage your daughter to practice and stretch at home. Remember, we are competing with teams who practice 5 days a week.
